By adding DuelBot to your Discord server or using its commands, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please remove the bot from your server.
2. Description of Service
DuelBot is a Discord bot that provides turn-based dueling games inspired by classic arena shooters. The service includes:
- Player vs. Player duels
- Player vs. AI duels
- Statistics tracking and leaderboards
- Server configuration options
- Multiple game variants (Tribes 2, Quake 3 Arena, Halo)
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use DuelBot, consistent with Discord's Terms of Service. By using the bot, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the bot to harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Attempt to exploit bugs or vulnerabilities
- Use automated tools to spam commands
- Circumvent rate limits or usage restrictions
- Use the bot in violation of Discord's Terms of Service
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the bot's source code
5. Service Tiers and Payments
DuelBot offers free and paid personal subscription tiers:
- Free: 10 duels per day, 30 day stats retention, 1 concurrent duel per server
- Pro ($2.99/month): 50 duels per day, 1 year stats retention, per-weapon stats, achievements, 3 concurrent duels per server
- Champion ($4.99/month): Unlimited duels, forever stats retention, custom game variants, unlimited concurrent duels
Subscriptions are personal and follow you across all servers. Paid subscriptions are billed through Discord Premium Apps. Refunds are handled by Discord according to their refund policy. Your server's concurrent duel limit is determined by the highest-tier subscriber in that server. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.
6. Service Availability
We strive to keep DuelBot available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The bot may be unavailable due to:
- Scheduled maintenance
- Discord API outages
- Unexpected technical issues
- Updates and improvements
7. Termination
We reserve the right to:
- Suspend or terminate access to any server violating these terms
- Remove or reset data for inactive servers
- Discontinue the service with 30 days notice
You may stop using the bot at any time by removing it from your server.
8. Intellectual Property
DuelBot is an independent project inspired by classic arena shooters. "Tribes 2", "Quake 3 Arena", "Halo", and related marks are property of their respective owners. This bot is not affiliated with or endorsed by the creators of these games.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
